Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations


Power served as U.S. ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations from 2013 to 2017 under former President Barack Obama. Previously, she served on the National Security Council as special assistant to the president and as senior director for multilateral affairs and human rights. She is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, most recently of “The Education of an Idealist: A Memoir.” Power is currently a professor at Harvard Law School.
